How to recognise an AGM (Start Stop) Battery

AGM batteries look like standard batteries from the outset. Everyone must ensure that if an AGM battery is removed from a car that an AGM is re-fitted.

Normally Mercedes has the letters VRLA on the label, this is a AGM battery and needs to be replaced with and AGM battery such as the DURACELL DE70AGM

BMW OE AGM batteries are normally a black case with the label saying "Sealed Do Not Open".

Failure to replace an AGM with an AGM battery will lead to early failure and void any warranty due to improper application.
